Singing about divine judgement

There just ain't that many songs about it.

Good on you Simone R. for writing one.

From the song:

The lion roars! Oh nations will you heed the warning
Before in judgement stubborn hearts are torn?
For every knee will bow and every tongue will worship
Flee to his side find shelter from the storm.

What about 'Great God what do I see and Hear'

But sinners, filled with guilty fears,
Behold His wrath prevailing.
In woe they rise, but all their tears
And sighs are unavailing.
The day of grace is past and gone;
Trembling they stand before His throne,
All unprepared to meet Him.

Can't beat Luther, right?

Wrong. How about the Dies Irae? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dies_irae

I'm with Justin here, but you need the final verse to put all in perspective:

Great God! what do I see and hear!
The end of things created!
The Judge of mankind doth appear,
On clouds of glory seated:
Beneath his cross I view the day
When heaven and earth shall pass away,
And thus prepare to meet him.

Justin and Martin, a song I often sing.

Anonymous, yes, sure, 1 song, many tunes. That still only counts as 1.

Good call, Martin.

There is the good ole Battle Hymn of the Republic - "He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored..."

Or more recently Kendrick's "O Lord, the clouds are gathering..."
