God bless America

God bless America (and everyone else).

Is my working title for my Bible study on Romans 15:14-33.

You tell me if it makes sense. In my own mind, it's brilliant.

Seems a little obscure to me.

Only verse 29 even mentions blessing, and it's not an imperative ("God bless...") but a simple noun. It doesn't seem to be the major theme of the passage, except in a roundabout way - the implication of gospel blessings to and from all the places Paul has gospelled - is that what you're getting at?

Seems to me a more obvious major theme is something like "fullness" and "completion," especially as applied to gospel ministry. Cognates of those words appear several times, and the concept generally forms the subject matter. It's all about Paul completing his task of filling up the churches with the fruits of the gospel so that they may be metaphorically poured out as an offering to God.
